Pingtan Impression traces the thousand-year history of Pingtan, deeply fuses Austronesian culture, the Silk Road culture and the Taiwan Strait culture, and constructs a common marine cultural scene and lineage across the Taiwan Strait. It takes the metaphorical new oriental aesthetics as its aesthetic concept, integrates intangible heritage, and is co-created and co-performed by artists from both sides of the strait, telling a classical myth epic with a strong oriental color and depicting an artistic scroll painted with dance and culture as ink. It is a stage masterpiece of humanities exchange and integration between the two sides of the Strait.
